Aerodynamics and Design
The 2025 Panigale V4 features a comprehensive aerodynamic redesign aimed at achieving maximum integration of aesthetic and functional elements. The new fairing reduces aerodynamic resistance by 4%, enhancing rider protection and agility during quick direction changes. High-efficiency double-profile wings maintain downforce, while improvements to the mudguard and radiator air conveyors boost cooling system effectiveness.
Engine and Performance
At the heart of the Panigale V4 lies the Desmosedici Stradale engine, delivering 209 horsepower at 12,750 rpm and 89.5 lb-ft of torque at 11,250 rpm. This MotoGP-derived engine has been refined with updated cams, an alternator, and an oil pump from the Panigale V4 R, along with enhancements to the variable length intake horns. With the Ducati Performance racing exhaust by Akrapovic, maximum power can rise to 228 hp.
Chassis and Suspension
The 2025 model introduces a new double-sided swingarm, replacing the traditional single-sided unit, resulting in a 2.7 kg weight reduction. The front frame has also been lightened, contributing to improved traction and rider feedback during acceleration and cornering. The Panigale V4 S variant features third-generation electronically controlled Öhlins suspension, offering precise response and enhanced performance on both road and track.
Braking System
Ducati has equipped the Panigale V4 with Brembo Hypure front brake calipers, which are lighter and more efficient, ensuring consistent performance. The new Race eCBS system, developed with Bosch, improves braking by activating the rear brake during cornering, allowing riders to brake later and more effectively.
Electronics and Rider Aids
The Panigale V4 is equipped with a suite of advanced electronics, including a six-axis IMU that controls traction control, wheelie control, slide control, launch control, and an up/down quickshifter. Additionally, the new ‘Race eCBS’ combined braking system, developed in collaboration with Bosch, encourages the use of some rear brake on the circuit to stabilize the motorcycle and improve cornering performance. This system offers seven levels of intervention, allowing the rider to manually add rear brake pressure if desired.
Launch Timeline in India
Ducati India has announced that the seventh-generation Panigale V4 will be launched in the first quarter of 2025, alongside the DesertX Discovery. This launch is part of a broader strategy to introduce 14 new models in the Indian market throughout the year, including the Panigale V2 Final Edition, Scrambler 2G Dark, Multistrada V2, and Streetfighter V4.
Pricing and Availability
While the exact pricing for the Indian market is yet to be announced, the Panigale V4 is expected to be positioned competitively within the premium superbike segment. Given Ducati’s focus on expanding its presence in India, the Panigale V4 will be available through an extended dealership network across major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, and Ahmedabad.
